The Saint Chad's Foundation Trust is a charity that aims to restore and maintain the fabric of the church, to inform the public about the history and heritage of St Chad's Well, and to improve and beautify the site as a whole.
the Friends of the foundation trust
The Friends was set up to further the work of the Trust in a variety of ways by:
- Raising funds for the Trust to help carry forward its aims
- Supporting and contributing time and talents to Trust activities
- Hosting and providing information for visitors to the church and well
- Promoting and publicising Trust activities
- Meeting socially and encouraging membership to grow and participate.
The Friends is strongly supported by over eighty members from our church community and well-wishers from further away. Membership is open to all and Life membership is £100 or £160 for a couple. Annual membership is £10 per person or £16 for a couple. Members receive an annual newsletter and a membership card detailing dates and times of events for the coming year.
If you want to ensure St Chad's Church is there to serve the parish in the years to come, do consider joining the Friends or donating to the Church in some other way. We are part of the government's Gift Aid Scheme and have the facilities to accept electronic donations.
