St Chad’s is a welcoming church community that seeks to love and accept everyone. We try to follow in the footsteps of Jesus, and reach out to the wider community with the love of God. The heart of our life together is prayer and worship. We would love to be able to welcome you and get to know you. The church is open every day from 8.30am-5pm if you would like to visit or pray, or even simply enjoy the silence.
We have an ancient past, a lively present, and a hope-filled future. The history of the church stretches all the way back to the 7th Century, when St Chad set up a community on this site, in order to preach about Jesus to the people in this area, and to baptise them. |
